What are the Parents Saying?

There is something truly sacred about the way the crisp Rocky Mountain air, towering pines, and the power of the Holy Spirit work together to quiet the noise of everyday life. At Annunciation Heights, our deepest prayer has always been that every child who steps onto our mountain encounters the living God in a tangible, life-changing way.
As we look ahead to opening registration for Summer 2027, we have been reflecting on the incredible feedback and heartfelt responses from parents in our 2026 Summer Camp Parent Evaluations. The results and stories shared by families remind us of why we do what we do—and how the Lord is moving in the hearts of our campers.
Overwhelming Joy and Transformational Impact
The parent evaluations for Summer 2026 painted a breathtaking picture of grace, community, and adventure. Across the board, parents gave top marks to their overall camp experience, highlighting seamless logistics, welcoming check-ins, and a profound sense of safety and belonging for their children.
But beyond the high ropes courses, day hikes, and games of King’s Flag, the true heartbeat of Annunciation Heights shined brightest in the spiritual transformation parents witnessed in their kids.
Here is what some of our parents had to say about their children's experiences:
"Annunciation Heights gave my daughter a better sense of her relationship with God and myself as well. She came home with a different point of view on life." — Parent of Base Camp Camper
"This is our third year at Annunciation Heights. We drive from Grand Junction and it's worth the trip every time... They love all of the fun camp activities, but what I love is how they talk about going to adoration. They feel the Lord's presence in every moment." — Parent of Base Camp Campers
"My kids all say that Annunciation Heights is their second home. They both want to be missionaries there someday." — Parent of Base Camp Campers
"The camp helped my child a lot. Enlightened him of our faith and his personality." — Parent of Rustic Camp Camper
Articulating the Mission: Why We Climb Higher
When asked how they would articulate the mission of Annunciation Heights based on their summer experience, parents beautifully captured the very essence of our calling:
"To help kids and families encounter the God who created, rescued, and transformed them in a tangible way." — Annunciation Heights Parent
"Utilizing God's creation and grace, offer a safe but challenging path for kids to encounter God, learn about our Church, grow in virtue and develop Christ-centered relationships with others." — Annunciation Heights Parent
"To lift students' eyes to God and create a rhythm of spiritual experiences they can continue after camp (prayer, rosary, Mass, adoration)." — Annunciation Heights Parent
"To share the true presence of Christ in the Eucharist with our children." — Annunciation Heights Parent
These reflections remind us that Annunciation Heights is more than just a summer camp—it is a sanctuary where youth step away from the distractions of the modern world and discover a deep, lasting identity as beloved sons and daughters of God.
Looking Ahead to Summer 2027
