Kat Hurd
Hospitality Coordinator
Kat grew up in Kansas, where the seeds of love for Christ and His Creation were first sown in her heart by her family. After graduating from K-State, she moved from the Great Plains to the Rocky Mountains and answered a call to serve as an Altum Institute Missionary for two years. She is incredibly grateful for those years of adventure, wonder, formation, and encounter, and she is eager to share that same richness of life with everyone she meets! Kat is returning to Annunciation Heights after putting her visual communication skills to use as a graphic designer, and she is excited to communicate Christ’s love as Hospitality Coordinator. If she’s not in the camp office, Kat is probably barefoot in a creek with a journal in hand or sitting down with a friend and a cup of tea.
My favorite Bible story:
The Baptism in the Jordan
For man, to “be” means to “be on the way” – he cannot be in any other form; man is intrinsically a pilgrim, “not yet arrived”. —Joseph Pieper
